We were surprised and sad to learn that the Cocke N Kettle has closed its doors after 38 years of business. We really enjoyed performing there and looked forward to our upcoming dates in July and August as well as the promise of many more future dates from management. According to a local newspaper article the restaurant could no longer sustain itself in this rotten economy of ours. Disposable income is becoming harder and harder to find. We thought we found a nice little home at The Cocke ... the patrons and management really liked us ... and we liked being there. Keep checking the site ... and keep us informed of other possible venues we should investigate... and as always ...Thanks for your support.
The Band
Feel free to post eveyone. Just a few thoughts. Once we stopped performing at that place in Smithfield we really thought it may be tough finding work after being a house band for so long. In retrospect, it was the best thing that ever happened to us. We are playing at some really nice places ... Our debut at The Cocke N Kettle was a great success and we look forward to our return on April 5th. The Wharf Tavern, Benjamins, Luciano's and Sogno's are all coming up and we are booking private parties, weddings etc. The interest in this band is fantastic. We really wish to see some of our old friends. Please use this blog ...suggest songs you'd like us to learn, comment on the clubs etc... and come and say hello.
Sogno's in Cranston. I heard the food was fantastic. We had great crowd. Ed & Mary were there along with members of the Murphy Family. We're back on May 9th
